Witness Testimony

"3 of us were driving from texas to colorado. about 5am as we passed thru just south of springer new mexico on hwy 39, we witnessed what looked like the brightest star in the sky but it was moving slowly south. we pulled over to look at it and watch it. it went west for half a second, then went east at a speed at least 20 times as fast as a commercial airliner. it was so high in the western sky that it appeared to possibly be over arizona or nevada when we first saw it. within 30 seconds, it was in the eastern sky and appeared to be possibly over texas or oklahoma. as the morning sky started to illuminate, the only objects you could see as the sun came up, was the moon, the north star, and this object. as the sun continued to come up, this object could be seen and you could no longer see the north star. it hovered , descended, and ascended while in the east over the texas oklahoma area. we watched it as we continued to drive north for the next hour. after hovering for about 45 minues, the last 15 minutes that we could see it, it continued eastward and appeared to ascend until out of sight.
