SIGHTING: GORDON CHAPEL ROAD, HAWTHORNE, FLORIDA (UNITED STATES)
Witness Testimony
"I have seen numerous UFO sightings in Hawthorne, FL since I moved to this area in 2002. I saw an egg shaped one in the woods behind my house after the property had been logged. It look like an egg turned sideways with squiggly lights on it like energy, moving slowing and making no sound. My mother likes to sit on the back porch at night and she had told me she saw a UFO but I did not believe her until I saw it myself and it scared me and I made her come into the house and we locked the door. I saw one other UFO during that time. But I really started to see many more of them starting in 2013 along Gordon Chapel Road near Lake Susan Road in Hawthorne, FL and also along State Road 20 headed toward Hawthorne. My family and I have all seen them so it is not just me but I have had many experiences alone since I am outside at alone closing the gate or driving home after dark. I have seen orb shaped ones that are small but just float about ten feet below the tree line along Gordon Chapel, I have seen a triangle UFO with super bright white lights on each corner that was about the size of a small plane that flew just above the tree top straight down Gordon Chapel Road in Hawthorne, that made no sound and I would not have even seen it if I had not been looking up at the time. I have seen what you might call a flying saucer with the square saucer shape on the bottom and another rectangular box on top with 4 or 5 small strobe type lights along the bottom. This one terrified me because I drove directly under it while on Gordon Chapel Road and no it was not a drone because it was wider than the road so pretty big. What scared me is that it kind of stalked me. I was closing the gate and saw a bright white light in the woods. I closed the gate and proceeded to drive south on Gordon Chapel Road when the ship slid out from behind the tree tops over the road that I was traveling on. I was too afraid to stop so I drove underneath it. It was only a few feet above my car. I could see the outline of it, it was like a shadow with blinking white strobe lights on the bottom. Once I passed underneath it, I called my brother in terror and as soon as I called him, the ship slid back into the woods behind the tree tops where I could not see it and in a few minutes I saw a string of lights coming from the same location which moved south east towards Star Lake in Hawthorne, FL. I have seen the white orbs up in the sky seen them come lower to the road that I was driving down as if it were following me. Thankfully it stopped before it got to me. There is also a UFO which looks like a big, bright star which changes into an orb and moves which hangs a round for months. I have also seen a large orb with a red flashing light on top close to the ground on Lake Susan Road in front of the dog kennel. My sister and I saw one in Palatka in the middle of town in state road 20 near the college. This one was strange because you could only see it from the south bound lane. When we turned around you could not see it from the north bound SR 20 road in Palatka but as soon as we got back into the south bound lane we could see it again just sitting there for. I saw someone walking on the side walk and they were looking up at it. I think a lot of people see these things but nobody wants to talk about it. I am typing this because it gets to be a bit frightening at times. One evening I saw so many until just scared me along SR 20 coming from Gainesville to Hawthorne. They were many,many shimmering diamond or triangle shaped lights moving all together they were. I was afraid it was an invasion. Most that I see all seem to be traveling toward Star Lake which is south of Lake Susan and Gordon Chapel Road. I have just seen so many until it just is unbelievable. I have lived in Florida all my life I and never saw any UFOs until I moved to this area. I have seen bright white lights come through the woods and move low enough to the ground to shine white lights on the trunks of trees as if it were looking for something with no sound. I don't know of any airplane. drone or person of that size that can fly and then come down to the ground and shine bright lights and make no sound."
