" Silver flash in clear sky that appeared for 2-3 seconds, then disappeared.I was driving to work, heading south on Mc Menemy St. from Co. Rd. F. It was a clear day with a few small clouds that were to the far east. I had an open view of the vista ahead and to both sides. I had driven about a quarter mile, when I saw a bright flash in the sky slightly to the west. I did not see the object coming from any direction, it simply appeared, then disappeared, within seconds.I thought it was an airplane, as it looked like one. It had wings and the nose of object was facing east. It was a solid, bright platinum color. I slowed down to a crawl, expecting it to reappear to east, but it did not. I scanned the sky in all directions and saw nothing more. "
