SIGHTING: MORGANTON, NORTH CAROLINA (UNITED STATES)

Witness Testimony

"Back in aug or sept of 2016 my dad and i and my 3 grandkids decided to go look at the stars. there is a place in morganton, nc that is famous for odd lights in the valley called the brown mountain lights and a lot of people go there to the overlook to try and spot them, including myself. (i have seen orbs in the valley on quite a few occasions usually white sometimes orangish red) this night there were no clouds anywhere to be found. very very clear night for star gazing. there must have been about 20 people up there at the time of the incident. at first about 3 or 4 orange orbs showed up coming in from the same direction slow at first before stopping suddenly and dropping and moving almost like it was searching for something. all the lights showed up in the same area before finding a spot and staying stationary. not grouped together tho. as everyone was kinda waiting to see what they were going to do, right in front of us became full of smoke like clouds with a lot of different colored lights flashing in it. the lights werent real bright but they were flashing almost strobe like that you couldnt help but blink and squint. as the smoke cleared the colored lights were gone and there were 8 white lights spaced perfectly and in a pattern, they almost looked like stars except in between everything was blacked out. all the stars and constellations i was pointing out were all being blacked out or blocked by something. the other littler orange red lights remained stationary as well. once that huge object arrived almost everyone hauled butt out of there, one guy kept saying over and over thats not right thats not right. my dad and i stayed there for a few hours to see if anything else was going to happen. nothing changed during that time. we would have stayed all night but one of the kids hurt his head running around and i had to get him home. however around 4am my dad called talking about he couldnt sleep nor stop thinking about what we had seen. we both made diagrams and wrote everything down. i will add that when we were heading back down the mountain i could still see the back out chunk of sky still. i truly wish i could find someone that was there that night besides us.
