Witness Testimony

"At 9:52 pm edt, i saw a bright, white light in the sky to the south, about 30 degrees above the horizon. it was about the size and brightness of the planet venus. the night was perfectly clear, with no wind. what caught my attention was the tremendous speed at which this object was moving, from south to north. it appeared to me to be over interstate 75, a short distance to the east of my location. there is no way i could determine its altitude. it traversed through 60 degrees of arc, from where i first observed it to directly overhead in about three seconds. it did not appear on the flightradar24 application on my cell phone, nor were there any aircraft in the area. by the time i was able to get up out of my chair to continue watching it, it was gone. i am a pilot, a veteran with combat experience. i have seen many different types of lights in the night sky, as well as meteors and comets. i have never seen anything move so fast other than a meteor, not even the iss. this object had to be travelling at hypersonic speed, but made no sound. i don't think it was a meteor, since to remain visible for so long without burning out, it would have to have been be quite large and probably would have broken up. also, it appeared to be traveling horizontally to the surface of the earth. "
