Witness Testimony

"Driving north on palisades pkwy. about 1:15am when two reddish lights appear to my right about 10' and keeping up with my speed. (approx. 60mph) at first i thought it was a reflection from the lights on my vehicle but i sped up and the lights dropped back then caught up. i turned my lights off completely and the two lights remained. this lasted about a 1:30 seconds and the lights then sped up a few hundred feet, stopped and hovered still. just as i was about to pass (at this point i slowed considerably as i was startled) the lights rose then sped off into the air with great speed. i considered they might be a laser beam similar to ones used in pointers or gun sights but it could not be as the distance i travelled was about two miles. there were no cars on the road at the time and north and south bound traffic is separated by 50' of grass: i called the police and asked if there was any type of military exercises in the area or if anyone else had reported anything. they essentially laughed it off and never got back to me. i'm certain it was not my imagination nor was it anything i've ever experienced before."
