Witness Testimony

"After a long day of driving my ex-boyfriend and I at the time were driving back to Carmel on Highway 1, going about 75 mph on a stretch of road near the Otter Game Refuge. It was about midnight, maybe 11:30 pm, and pitch black outside. As we were driving, I looked outside the driver's side window and saw a neon orange brightly glowing rectangular object that seemed to have come from above the ocean surface and rose until the rectangle was parallel to our car. It was parallel and appeared to be flying next to us at the same speed. After three or four minutes of watching this rectangle, the rectangle began to expand into a perfect, orange, square. After expanding, the square disappeared nearly instantly with the afterglow comparable to that of an old lamp being turned off. My best judgment puts the rectangle 300ft away parallel to me over the ocean, which is not too far west from the location I saw this phenomenon it's length could be no more than 30-50 ft long and only 8 to 10 feet wide. When fully expanded, it was easily 30-50ft by 30-50ft in a perfect square. Again, as if a light was turned off by a switch, the light disappeared and nothing else could be seen. "
