Witness Testimony

"My son and I were coming home and as we walked up to our rural farm house we noticed somthing to the North behind the grove. We could not see the exact shape however it appeared to be a rectangle or more of a trapezoid shape since the lights were not at a 90 degree corner. We could not see the object inside the 4 lights because it was all black but we could tell something was inside those 4 lights because it blocked out the stars behind it as it slowly moved toward the East. The night was crisp, maybe 20 degrees, clear sky, and no wind. As it slowly moved the only sound we could hear was the sound of air getting pushed by something massive. It was out in the field about 1/4 mile and a couple hundred feet above the ground. It was moving rather slowly and had 4 visible continous lights on each corner. The brightness of the light looked as though they were a bright star in the distance but we could see it was less than a 1/2 mile away. It then started to move toward the NE and gained speed as it disappeared into the distance and was masked by the sky full of bright stars. The following morning I told the story to my in-laws that happened to live on the same farmstead. They agreed that some strange things were happening last night. My father-in-law said when he came back from town at about 9:00 pm (5 hours before I arrived) he noticed a bright white light about a mile North from where we both lived across the section. He said it seemed like a very bright welding light but thought it was unusual that the neighbor would be working that late and the light seemed abnormally bright. My father-in-law also said that neighbor's dog had somehow broke loose from being chained up and was in our yard abviously scared of something. This dog still had part of the chain he was dragging. There had to be some kind of connection between these 3 weird happennings. After we ate lunch that day (about noon) we sat down and read the Des Moines Register that had the story of the Phoenix lights which were observed Thursday night! Although the object I witnessed did not look like the Phoenix lights, it happened about 24 hrs later. I would estimate the size of what we saw to be 500-1000 ft wide by 300-500 feet high. The only sound was that of something massive moving through the calm air."
