Witness Testimony

"Approximately 9:00 PM between Jolon Road and the rest stop on US 101 traveling southbound, we saw two bright lights that appeared to be hovering at approximately 300-400 feet in the air off on the right side of 101. They disappeared behind a hill as we drove along 101, but you could see a glow of light behind the hill. As we turned a bend in the highway they were visible again. Very bright light, slight orange glow, and there appeared to be smoke or something above the two separate lights. Another hill got in the way of our sight of these two objects, with a glow behind the hill again. As they came back into view, there was only one light now and it appeared to be lower. As I rolled down the window to get a better look, that light appeared to "burn out" in a flash and disappeared. Two of us were in the car, and we both saw the same thing."
