Witness Testimony

"Watching a jet traverse east to west in the southern sky just before dusk a glowing object from the south intersected the flight path behind jet I was watching. Then, amazingly, the object decelerated as if calculated and stopped in the sky above me. I starred in curiosity at the star-like object which I had just stopped and stayed stationary. After about a minute, I noted it's location by comparison to the other stars which were starting to appear since the sun had just set. I ran inside and got my spotting scope, relocated the object and to my amazement witnessed what looked to be a bright glowing sphere with a bar thru it. It looked as if you would see Saturn with the rings perfectly on edge. The bars and sphere were glowing and in focus. Adjacent stars were twinkling from atmospheric distortion as one would expect but the object which I had just witnessed stopping in the sky above me glowed within focus and without any diffusion distortion. I had family and friends over to look at the object which had become stationary amongst the stars, moving with the night sky locked with all the other stars near Coma Berenices. One witness was a microbiologist with over 30 years experience looking thru microscopes and another was a pilot with over 25 years of flying. Both were equally perplexed by the shape, the non-distortion and quality of the glowing light and by the way in which it entered it's location. The object was witnessed in the same location the next night, and each following night for at least 4 months until that portion of the sky was no longer visible, setting past the horizon during the night. I later recognized that the day which I saw the object coincided with the day of the BP oil well erupting in the Gulf of Mexico. Just for reference in time. I contacted a local astronomer and high school teacher who was on a team thru a nasa extension, but she wasn't interested enough to warrant a look. "
