Witness Testimony

"Two round, bright red objects we (me, my wife and daughter) observed hovering for about 30 second near Mount Carmel, no sound. My 6 year old daughter first noticed and said, "look dad, two wishing stars". Altitude was about 3,000 - 6,000 feet. No typical aircraft lighting (i.e., no strobe, no beacon). The color appeared very bright, almost reddish orange, like flame, but again no sound and they both remained motionless. Brightness greater than a military flare. The first object appeared to disappear into a cloud (although, there were none that night) and the second one did the same a few seconds later. I am a private pilot and this was not a typical aircraft."
