Witness Testimony

"Was outside waiting on the dogs, saw a bright flash of light in the western sky out of the corner of my eye. I turned that direction and thought is was an airplane but didn't see the normal steady flash of a commercial jet. When it flashed next, it was heading N.E.. The flash was much larger and brighter than any airplane I'd ever seen, that's what caught my eye. It stayed on that course for approximately 4-5 flashes. The flashes were approximately 30-45 seconds apart. The distance this craft traveled between flashes varied. Once it traveled approximately 3 times farther then it did between the last flashes. I noticed the red strobe from a commercial flight below it as the craft flashed. They were not close at all as I didn't see any reflection from the flash on the plane. that's when the flash turned north. This object didn't move as far between flashes as it headed north. I last saw it next to a star so I kept my eye on the star and the object stayed next to this star for approximately 4 flashes then moved S.E. at an angle past where it flew over the commercial plane then moved north again. It went behind the trees and I lost track of it. I thought it odd that the flash was much brighter and larger than any commercial jet that was in the air at the time. I never heard any of the planes I saw fly over so I new they were high. The flash looked as if it was at a higher elevation than the commercial planes. "
