Witness Testimony

"I was driving North on Hwa 97 from Bend, Oregon to Redmond, Oregon. I saw a very intense bright white light arc across the sky in from of me at a fairly low angle of about 30 to 45 degrees. It swept across the sky almost the entire distance and vanished. I noted it in case there were other sightings and ax it turned out, Peter was on CCM tonight and suggested putting in a report. It was unique enough I noted the time. It was unique because it was such a solid light, rather than a fireball or meteor that was breaking up. It left a very well defined trail across 80% of the sky behind it. It was a very intense white light and the object looked more like a triangle or skewed square. With clear skies in these parts, I see a lot of meteors, and this was very different, in part because the trail behind it was so clean looking, and not like something was breaking up. As it raced to maybe 15 degrees above the East North East horizon, it disappeared rather than fizzle out. I wondered if it might have hit land, maybe in the Sisters or Mt Jefferson area, but I didn't get a good sense of how far away or high up it was. It was so unique that I noted the exact time. It looked more like some sort of craft, but no surface, just light. It was the size of maybe a pencil eraser held at arms length."
