Witness Testimony

"Driving home from work. i was turning onto the road that goes to my home when i saw a very bright white light to my left in the sky. at first i thought i was witnessing a large meteorite burning up. then the light was gone and a thin cylinder cigar shaped object was there. it did not move. i stopped and watched it for a few minute to see if it would move. never changed position while i was watching. other vehicles were coming so i started driving again and lost sight behind a row of trees. i looked for it at the next clearing but it was gone. my phone doesn't take good pictures at distance so i did not get any. at first i thought it was a meteor, as i drove the rest of the way home i thought that maybe i had witnessed something different. i checked flights in the area at the time i saw this and there were no flights anywhere close. thanks for reading my account and i hope you can solve this."
