Witness Testimony

"I was driving home from Stevens Point, south on I-39, about 9:00 pm. As I was approaching exit 153, I saw in the sky over Plover, one bright white light, similar to a very large spotlight. After about 3 seconds, long enough to see it clearly and wonder what it was, it faded away and as it faded, 3 yellowish lights appeared in a row, slightly lower and to the left of the brighter light. They shone for about 3 seconds, as well, and faded away. Right after all lights faded, tiny twinkling lights appeared throughout much of the sky, mostly in the area of the lights (to the east), but expanding westward, as far as I could see. After about 30 seconds, the night sky became normal, with regular stars and even meteors (it is the night of the Geminid meteor shower). In comparison with normal sky activity (twinkling stars, airplanes, meteors), it struck me how special or different or abnormal this experience was."
