Witness Testimony

"I live in heaton, newcastle upon tyne in england, uk. i was smoking a cigarette at 3:40am on 18th july 2017 in my back yard. it was still night time and the sky was very clear as some stars were visible. i live in a terraced house and the street behind is parrallel to my street. the front of my house faces east. i often look up at the night sky so i was aware of the visible stars. however i noticed a slightly brighter stronger light appear above the rooftop from the street behind. it appeared from the west, and it moved in a straight line appearing from the west ( above the rooftops on street behind) and travelled in a straight line across the sky and disappeared over my neighbours house to our right side. i'm familiar with identifying aeroplanes as there are flashing lights and often take the same route. however this light travelled across a section of the sky which i'm not familiar with seeing aeroplanes travelling. also the light was way to big and bright to be a plane. it moved faster than the average plane would fly and there was no noise from the light that could be heard for sure as there was roadworks being done on the motorway overnight 100m down my house. it stayed bright consistently not changing at all in any way. the event lasted around 2 or 3 mins in total, and dare i say i believe on the rare occasion i've seen similar sightings.
