Witness Testimony

"I was driving home on i-94, heading from moorhead to fergus falls (southeast). it was a dark and clear night. there was light traffic. just before i reached mile marker 12, i observed what appeared to be a large shooting star. i observed a bright white ball decend from the sky. i was much larger than a shooting star, a little larger than an asprin, and decended at a much slower rate than a shooting star was. it also appeared to be quite close in distance. from my viewpoint, it decended about 6 inches in the sky ... i have no idea what this would equate to in actual distance. after it decended, it took off in more or less tha same direction as the interstate (southeast) at an extremely high rate of speed. it appeared to be decending slightly as it sped away, but i blieve that was an optical effect from the amount of distance it covered in such a short time. the enite incident lasted approximately 3 solid seconds. i believe i lost sight of it due to the distance of travel. this area of minnesota is completely flat. on clear nights like this, visibility is to the horizon. i was definitely not a shooting star and if it were a fighter jet, i should have heard something and there were no aircraft lights that i observed. i also don't believe we have aircraft that can travel at that speed. i seached the internet this morning to see it anyone else reported it, but it doesn't appear so. there were other cars on the road. someone else had to have seen this.
