Witness Testimony

"I was headed north on us route 1 from my work place in baileyville. it was daylight with a clear sky with just a hint of a haze. just as i passed the princeton town line i see an object in the sky. it was at about a 45 degree angle. my best guess would be approximately 2-3 miles in front of me. it appeared to be the same altitude as most commercial jets fly. what drew my interest was that it was headed north and commercial air lanes overhead here are east/west. what i saw was a cylindrical object headed north strongly reflecting sunlight. in watching it i realized i did not see wings or any type of wingtip trailing. just as i was thinking that may be because it was headed directly away from me, the object seemed to point directly to the ground, i really thought then that i was seeing a jet crashing. i then realized that it no longer appeared to be cylindrical but more chevron shape. then it disappeared completely. just as if a door had been closed shutting out all light. there was no other aircraft in the sky at this time. there was no clouds in the sky. i see the object for 40-60 seconds."
