Witness Testimony

"Yesterday I was watching my son playing with his cousin from the second floor of my father-in-law's house in central Washington. They were watching their shadows and making them dance. It was really cute, and I thought that I should take a video of it. And I really wish I would've listened to my instinct.It was a sunny day and their shadows were very dark and clear on the gravel. Then I noticed a circular shadow about 20 feet in diameter pass over them going about 30 miles per hour. It wasn't as dark of a shadow, almost like the object that produced it would've been somewhat transparent. Also, the shadow was darker toward the center with a distinct outer ring that was a very faint shadow in comparison.Since I had been watching the kids' shadows, I realized that whatever was going making the shadow would've been over the house and would immediately come into view and travel straight forward from my view.I had a clear view of the sky, but nothing went overhead. Anywhere. There were some birds circling in the distance, but a bird wouldn't make a circular shadow or go that fast. Neither would a small, rogue cloud. No vehicle started up or fire was lit that would've made a cloud of smoke. I'm stumped!I've never been one to think much of UFOs, paranormal, unexplained phenomena, etc. I'm a science teacher and thrive on evidence, but I can't explain this and it's really bugging me."
