Witness Testimony

"Lying down in bed for the evening at about 9:40 p.m. on March 21 my wife and I heard what we believed was a helicopter. The windows shook violently as I was getting up to look. I saw a very low flying set of red and bluish lights coming from the direction of the helicopter noise. These lights appeared to be over our residential golf course less than a mile away. Slightly above and maybe west of the helicopter I saw a flash of orangish light, one second later the light flashed again smaller left to right and nearer the horizon and then again one second later smaller following the left to right movement and nearer the horizon. I think I saw it one second later following this pattern but I can't be certain as it was faint and very small. The helicopter then flew off to the southwest.This entire encounter took less than five seconds. I was really amazed at how fast this flashing light moved into the distance and told my wife "that thing was really moving fast!"Living in this area for 25 years I am very familiar with the view. I also have excellent visual acuity. I cannot say the size nor altitude of the flashing light but my best guess is that it moved 30 miles in three seconds! (Mach 3?) I suppose if I did see the fourth flash farther away it could have been much faster. The flight path was just north of the Saddle Mountains and the trajectory would put the flight path of this object directly in line with Boeing at Everett or Ellendorf AFB in Anchorage.To our south is Hanford DOE. That was the direction taken by the helicopter. If you find any other reports concerning this I would be very curious to hear from your organization."
