Witness Testimony

"Me and a friend were camping at Peeler lake in desolation wilderness. The event took place our second day around 10-11 at night. We had been starung at the sky there all weekend because you could see the cosmic dust in the galaxy and the open sky was great for stargazing. The night of the event we had seen a good amount of shooting stars. At one point my friend pointed one out that moved oddly, but seemed to be the same distance as the shooting stars. We continued to watch as it entered the atmosphere then stopped directly ahead of us just above the horizon. I can still point out the exact spot. After it stopped, with a somewhat bright light, it blasted an even greater bright light then took off. We were able to watch the object zig zag (3-4 switchbacks) into space for about 10-15 seconds. What made us think its was unearthly was 1) distance 2)speed 3)directional change and 4)light. There was no specific shape except for the light orb it produced. Sky was perfectly clear. I was surprised by the object because for 1 i have been afraid of extraterrestrial life since i was 8 and 2, i had convinced myself they weren't real or i would never see one because it was a way to cope with my fear. I was more surprised than my friend. Actually let out a "whooooooah! No way!" There may have been other witnesses seeing that it was a holiday weekend and many others in the area. No photo or video because we did not have out phones on us at the time, nor were we thinking about taking a picture."
