Witness Testimony

"Sitting outside on back porch with my mother and observed in the night sky a light which appeared to be a plane. One whiter yellowy one on bottom with a faint glow of red on top, possible one more yellow light in the middle, but was a bit far and blurry. It appeared to fade a bit, then get a little brighter. Then the light separated into two, one slightly higher and further ahead than the other. It thought, were it a plane, the way it separated would have made a plane appear to turn sharply toward the NE, but instead no turn was made, and the lights stayed separated continuing their NW direction. They got just about to the tree line when they vanished completely. There were no clouds in the sky or view obstructions as it hit the point of vanishing. Nor was there any sound. Later, (approx 30 mins) after going inside, we DID hear a plane. Being indoors and hearing such a noise, we certainly would have heard that being outside were the object observed a plane. There was also no contrail, where in another part of the sky I had seen a lingering one from a previous airplane flyover."
