Witness Testimony

"I was heading back to the dorm after dinner. I don't know why it caught everyone's attention, but we all (about a dozen of us) seemed to look up in stunned silence watching this dot of green light bounce around the sky. It seemed like someone had an advanced laser pointer, but there was no trail around it. It moved way too fast to be a human aircraft, but with Fort Riley nearby, that was my second thought. It was also green on St. Patrick's Day (we were all completely sober), so it seemed like it might be some kind of joke. After about 30 seconds of sporadic movement and sudden completely motionless stops, it seemed to speed away from the planet in an instant. After it disappeared, we heard people yelling about it blocks away and there was a comment in the school newspaper forum about it from someone who was in the bar district at the time (about four or five blocks away). The guy who was next to me looked at me stunned and asked if we really just saw what he thought we saw and I could only muster a "yep." It was an adrenaline rush and shocking. I couldn't wait to tell everyone about it. Disbelief and condemning reactions led me and I'm assuming others to stop bringing it up. "
