SIGHTING: CLAY CENTER, KANSAS (UNITED STATES)

Witness Testimony

"My boyfriend saw a boomerang (somewhat triangular and circular) shaped object hovering over a water tower near Crawford St on the east side of Clay Center, KS soon after 10pm on the 23rd of July 2015. He was only less than half a block away from it at the time of sighting. It had a extremely bright light beaming out of it. When it moved it left a fleeting trail of light. About 3 seconds and no more than 5 seconds after he first noticed it the light turned off and it disappeared. He looked around and almost instantly it (or a second object) reappear. This time he could not see the shape of it but instead just that same bright beam of light. The location it reappeared was to the north east of Clay Center, outside of town quite a long ways away. This time it only stayed for 2 second before turning off again. My boyfriend is a "tough guy" but this visibly shook him. As we went home and walked into out house he never took his eyes off the sky. He is not writing this post because he is still trying to rationalize what he saw. I wanted to report his sighting because three or four years ago I saw something that could of been this same thing and didn't report it. I was riding with someone else on the Broughton Rd going towards Clay Center. I believe we had recently passed Redwood Rd when suddenly, and only for 1 second, we were blinded by a temporary completely white and bright light that flooded across our visible world- flooded is really a good way to describe what this light did. The light came from the front right side (which would be the north). We did not see an object anywhere in the sky after the light was turned off, even though it was not a particularly dark night. The light was really odd how thick, white, and bright it was and how it flooded into our vision."
