Witness Testimony

"watching the night sky above Portland Or from clearing in Gifford Pinchot forest. Above the Jones Creek ORV park. could see planes coming into PDX. I noticed a bright flash in high in the south.like that of a camera flash.then it was gone. I watched the area of sky I saw it in. and then again a flash. brighter than any star and slowly faded out. about a minute later there seemed to be a bright star near to where the flash had been. it did not flash like before. it was just there and slowly dimmed out.it did this maybe 15 times. moving to the north. the length of time between the light flashes were irregular not like a plane. and out of the 15 times the light came on and slowly dimmed out. it flashed as bright as it had the first 2 times, 3 other times. it did not seem to have any pattern to it. and the speed did not seem to be consistent.several times when it reappeared it seemed to be in the same spot it had been previously. after the last time it came on and dimmed out. i did not see it again.I have seen planes at night. both small and large. I've seen satellites cross the sky. Ive not seen anything close to this before. the color of the light was that like a camera flash. not the yellow that airliners have. the object was very high. "
