Witness Testimony

"Albuquerque, nm; 1907 hrs (just sunset); driving. only light in the pale blue evening sky. unmoving, absolutely still. i knew it wasn't a star, it was too bright, too big, and it was the only light in the sky. i knew it wasn't the space station or other satellite, it was way too big and it did not move at all. i initially thought it was a balloon (balloon fiesta time in abq), but immediately discounted the idea of a hot air balloon, it was way too bright and too stationary. it didn't move a degree in any direction for about 45 minutes and was incredibly bright, even in the twilight. it was about half the width of an aspirin, if held at arm's length. i could be a high-altitude instrumentation balloon. if so, it was incredibly big. if a weather balloon, it was very high. balloons move with air currents and they rise. this 'object' did neither. i just checked and the light was gone while i was writing this report, ~1945. but it is well dark and a reflective object would have passed into the earth's shadow. not really a believer in 'ufos,' but it was really kind of odd. i think i was really struck by its immobility."
