Witness Testimony

"Around 2am, i had taken my dog outside to take care of business. while waiting, i sat in my lawn chair and looked up at the night sky. in the north there were thunderstorms forming several miles away. however, the remaining sky was very clear. i was star gazing when i noticed that one of the bright stars suddenly disappeared. as i continued to watch, the star reappeared in the same place. i was thinking about how odd that was when it disappeared yet again. in a few seconds, it reappeared, but a few degrees north of where it was originally. this process of appearance and disappearance, remaining stationary, then moving lasted about thirty minutes when i lost it because of trees blocking the view. interesting to note was that the intensity of light varied from almost blindingly bright to very dim. the trajectory of this object was from the west to the northeast. from my guess, it was several miles above, but i am really unsure. it seemed to be very large and very far up in space."
