Witness Testimony

"It was approximately 11:05 pm/23:05 hrs on the night of 05/07/13. I had just returned home. I parked in the alley behind my house. I looked into the sky east of my house. There was a bright orangish light in the sky at approximately a 60 degree angle from where I was. It appeared to be on the other side of the Mississippi River, in Illinois. I initially thought it may have been the front light on an airplane, but it was orange in color, and not white. It also appeared to be hovering at first. After a approximately 10 secs, it appeared to move towards my house, while at the same time ascending. At this point i still believed it may be an airplane, but I could not see any blinking lights. It appeared to stop and hover several times, as it ascended to approximately a 70 degree angle from my vantage point. It then began to fade away. I'm not sure if it suddenly began moving away from my location, or if it just got smaller. For approximately 10 seconds I witnessed this object fade away. It was just gone. The whole incident lasted approximately 3-5 minutes"
