" "Traveling star" darts back and forth across sky over Lake Michigan.Overlooking Lake Michigan, the stars were especially visible. We were looking westward out at the night sky. My companion pointed out that a star was moving. I said it must just be a plane. But, upon closer inspection, the star-like light had no flashing light that would identify it as a plane. It was also much farther away then a plane would be. It followed a path, from north to south, but it darted up and down as it travelled, darting quickly back and forth, and it became increasingly obvious planes do not have that ability. We watched it until it faded away in the north, finally getting too far away to see. "
