Witness Testimony

" High speed lights were seen moving at a high rate of speed.This event happened in the early evening, just after dark. The area is a mixed commercial and residential area on the southern side of Santa Fe. On this particular evening it was raining, which does not happen particularly often in this high desert community. I stepped outdoors on my porch to enjoy the moisture, when I saw what appeared to be a ball of light moving in the clouds. The quick motion caught my attention, but I was unable to discern anything specific once I was looking directly at it. There were a few brief moments of movement at a high rate of speed, before the object seemed to move directly upwards and away from me.This was unlike anything I had ever seen before. I live near the local hospital, and I happen to be under the flight path for medical helicopters approaching and leaving the city. These aircraft are very familiar to me because I see them so often. In fact, I know many of the flight crews personally since I volunteer at a local firehouse. The sighting made on this particular evening was not like any contact with aircraft I have ever had in the past. The primary difference on this evening was that there was absolutely no noise. My home is a quarter mile from the hospital, and believe me they are quite noisy when they pass overhead. "
