Witness Testimony

"My husband and i were running errands at about 9:00 at night (normal for us) and i saw a really bright light in the sky when we were driving back home. it was fairly small, but so bright that i almost had to squint looking at it. i asked my husband what he thought it was (a light from a local tower... that we passed seconds after the event), but as i didn't remember seeing that light before i kept watching. then it turned into a triangle of three lights, two red and one green, blinking a little like an airplane, and it slowly started moving away (not behind as we were driving, but across). there was a big atv festival in town, and it's possible it could have had something to do with that. i'm usually pretty good at identifying things in the night sky--planets, planes, satellites, and floating lanterns, but this didn't make sense. especially after it changed shape and started flying off. it didn't move quickly and i didn't get to observe it for more than a few seconds, but it didn't look familiar."
