Witness Testimony

"Sitting on the deck outside my house around 10:40 pm, I saw what looked crazy to me. Keep in mind, that what I’m describing, and the thoughts I was having, happened extremely fast. In seconds I think. It looked, at first, like a huge, misshapen donut rising up through the air off in the distance. My initial thought was that it was a huge, donut shaped balloon from a party or something that flew off into the air and was busted. Then, what I was seeing with my eyes didn’t match that idea, so I thought maybe a blimp that deflated? Then, that thought was quickly dismissed as that didn’t match what my eyes were seeing either. Then, as I watched it, my brain had difficulty making sense of what I was seeing. It was moving upward and northeast simultaneously and now, seconds after initially seeing it, it was moving way too fast to be a balloon. And as it moved faster - upward and northeast from my viewpoint - I could clearly see that it was donut shaped and seemed to be more solid than when it initially caught my attention, emitting it’s own lights. Next, it moved out of my line of vision, but I heard shots on that direction. I at first dismissed the shots as fireworks being set off. But they were only a few, and it sounds more methodical, like gun shots. Maybe that’s just a coincidence. Maybe it was just fireworks. But the shots or fireworks started right after I the object left my line of vision off in the distance and ended just moments after. That’s a little bit of a freaky coincidence. While I’m hearing the gunshots or fireworks, I’m messaging my friend in West Virginia to tell her my amazement with what I just saw. She was sitting outside on her deck of her house. I messaged her as soon as the unexplained object left my line of vision because I was in awe and needed to share it with someone immediately. She says to me that she just saw the biggest meteor that she has ever seen in her life and saw it right before my message came through. That’s a hell of a coincidence. She said it looked like the meteor came crashing down like a ball of fire, but there was no sound. I’m not a conspiracy theorist, but I know what I just saw can’t be explained by anything I have ever known in this lifetime. I’m 40 years old, former military, well-educated, and work in an intellectually demanding field in the public sector. I’m not crazy and I’ve never seen anything like this in my life. I only wish my brain had made sense of what I was seeing quicker so I could have recorded it with my phone. So I don’t have any video or pictures. lol But seriously, my mind is kind of blown right now. I’ve been searching up UFO sighting stats and videos for the last two hours. I actually found a couple videos of sightings that look similar to what I witnessed tonight. "
