"Family coming back from dinner at 5pm, got out of the car and caught a bright light in the sky about 40â° east. (same area where you would find neptune) i was curious to see what it was but it never moved. got out my kids small telescope to see if maybe it was a planet or star. it looked like a nebula, oval/cigar shaped orange/red color to a blue/white color. there was a long trail coming down from it. reminded me of a jellyfish with one tentacle. as the sun went completely down the object disappeared but for the full 30-40 minutes it never moved from my point of view but it moved out of view in my telescope extremely slow. slower than what stars and planets do in my scope. "
