Witness Testimony

"This all started a few months back in the winter. was standing on my deck facing eastward at a 30 deg angle when i saw what i thought were very dim red airplane lights....After viewing some very quick directional changes then streaking off i knew then it was no plane. being that it is very cold at night i put it on the back burner until it warmed up before watching the night sky. so fast forward to these past couple months i can watch these very faint red dots on a nightly basis(the size of a distant star but red in color) once my eyes adjust to the darkness i can see these objects every night of the week. facing east at 45 or west at 45 and strait up 90 deg these objects put on quite the show. they move sometimes in a strait line or in arcs, cross the night sky, stop or curve and head off in a new direction. as they move they have a flickering effect. other things i've noticed is that i will see what's appears to be a small flash in the sky, like a flickering star but brighter and there will be one of these small red dots where the flash occurred. i had a friend over last saturday to take a look but he could not see the red dots but did see the flash i described. in all honesty i don't think he put his best effort in trying to spot the red dots. we had a few low clouds one night and when the object reached the cloud it disappeared behind it telling me that my eyes are not superimposing these. i plan on getting some binoculars to aid a second party in spotting these objects. i'm so conditioned to what to look for i can pick them out with no visual aids. as i stated above these are observable every night of the week.
